I know, I know. It’s the last day of the year and everyone is pushing all these weight loss challenges. I’m not pushing. I’m merely sharing. For those of you why may I have missed it during all the holiday rush, I recently released “Do Anything with Protein Powder: 30+ Protein Powder Recipes.” I want to start my new year off on a good foot. I know I have mentioned a few times that I have suffered from PCOS which makes weight loss difficult. I also suffer from degenerative disc disease and osteoarthritis in my hips which makes exercise a literally pain most often. If I can get my weight under control I can alleviate so many pain problems and other issues.
The 1st day of the new year is a new beginning for me. Maybe you would like to help motivate me and keep me in line 😉
I’ve been seeing a lot of success with the 90 Day Body by Vi Challenge. Problem is, it’s really expensive. At least, for my budget. I like the community and I like the motivation. Plus, the money prizes are pretty sweet. But, I just don’t want to deal with the price tag or the pushy direct sales side of it. I tried Ideal Shape and really liked the flavor and the fullness factor it provided. There was no direct sales or pushing involved. The price was a bit cheaper, but again, right now not even that is in my budget. So, I am using Designer Whey which fits my budget a lot better. I’m going to be testing, creating and trying more meal replacement recipes to create another recipe booklet.
Last night I was trying to find some sort of smoothie challenge similar to the Body by Vi. While I was not able to find a 90 day challenge, I was able to find this 30 Day Green Smoothie Challenge. Best part is that it is free to join. You don’t need protein powder.
The challenge starts tomorrow. There are a whole host of reasons why green smoothies are good for you and all the benefits to drinking them. They are a natural source of energy, great way to boost your immune system and they are full of antioxidants.
Don’t worry, YUM isn’t going all smoothie. I’m still yumming it up in the kitchen! But, I will be sharing recipes (and of course my failures) over the next 30 days.
Day 1 – Super Green Smoothie
Day 2 – Orange Kiss Sunrise Green Smoothie
Day 3 – Chocolate Peanut Butter Blast
Day 4- Cashew Greenie
Day 5 – Pistachio Delight Green Smoothie
Day 8 –
I cannot wait to hear what happens over the next 30 days. I know you will do great! I am always here, if you need someone to keep you in line!
Thank you so much! I have a feeling this will be a good thing. I love smoothies but I always seem to fall short of the ‘diet plans’ that suggest replacing 2 meals a day. I can do that for a day or two, but then I want to eat something. I think by mixing up a regular protein smoothie a few times a week with the green smoothie challenge I can better my chances and making it the whole 30 days because the only suggestion is replacing 1 meal a day.

I just signed up! What kind of blender do you have? I just got a Ninja Mega and am loving mixing up smoothies. I have spinach and kale in the fridge. Ready to go!
I just have a cheapie Oster blender I got from Kmart. It works pretty good for smoothies, I was surprised.
