The other day we talked about the Blueberry Lemon Sorbet. Did you make some yet? Well, today I have a new flavor for you. Cherry Lime. I know you guys have figured out that I spent the majority of my life in Oklahoma. That means Sonic Drive-ins on every corner. That also means I grew up on Cherry Limeades. I can remember the first time they offered these delicious drinks. Ugh. Showing my age. 😉
Summer is over. Labor Day is here and gone. Although, the Farmers Almanac says the official first day of fall is September 23. So, that means I have a few more
weeks days to enjoy the blueberry lemon combo.
Kiddo and I have been talking about making some sorbet. We’re really loving the fruity flavors and have both really been trying to watch our added sugars. She is very understanding to the health conditions we all have, even if she’s not really comprehending them to the fullest. I appreciate that about her. She’s always open to trying new foodie things and really wants to help out in the health department.
Hey look! A recipe!
I know, right! (in my best Monica voice..)

I eat a lot of raw foods then but I had no idea about a 100% raw food diet until a few years ago when I was contacted by a company to copywrite some material on raw food diet. [Read more…]
After purchasing a bottle of a popular juice detox for $30 many, many years ago and reading the list of ingredients, I learned it was only a juice fast with a fancy label. I did drop a few pounds, but it was hard to only drink juice for a day. I had a headache and felt weak and tired. I am told this is normal for some, but it is a feeling I don’t like. Not one single bit. But, I love my juices and I love my smoothies so I wanted to share with you guys a recipe I worked on back in early 2000s. This recipe was one of the first I ever posted online and it was one of the first pieces that earned me income for publishing online (for recipes, not for other content/writing.) [Read more…]
