Here at Ignite your Motivation I discuss my health battle with my PCOS and my weight. But, my outside needs to be healthy, too. VitaCost sent me some Deep Steep Weight Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner right around the same time they sent that 1 pound of green tea.
I wanted to give it a weeks worth of use before I gave it a review. Plus I had just finished up the FAST review so I wanted to give my hair a bit of a break before switching over to another different shampoo.
I have pretty long, curly, thick, hard-to-manage hair. I grow it out and donate it so I try to keep it as healthy as possible. Then, when it get’s to a point where it’s too long for me to manage and I have enough to donate to the Pantene Beautiful Lengths program, its time for me let it go.
You can read all about my past donations here on Nevermore Lane
In 2011 I damaged my hair and it took the rest of 2011 and part of 2012 to repair it. Then I spent 2012 and all of 2013 growing it out and making it healthy again.
I wanted bright red hair. Which, would have been find. Except I bleached it twice.
In one week.
So, we kept cutting. And cutting. It would grow, we would cut. So, it never got to a long point because we kept cutting.
I’m always looking for products to keep my hair healthy. Deep Steep Weightless Moisture Shampoo was a tad runny and I worried about it as is started to drip through my fingers. I rushed to get it to the top of my head. It worked into a quick lather and I was really pleased with out well it squeaked when it rinsed. The conditioner was thick but did not leave my hair weighed down.
I tried the combination for a couple of washings and was quite pleased. Bother are certified cruelty free. Neither contain sulfate. My hair can become very dry and brittle and these contain just the right amount of Moroccan Argan Oil and Organic Olive Oil that it makes it soft and manageable without making it all greasy. For me, that’s hard to do with moisture shampoos and conditioners.
I give two-thumbs up for Deep Steep Weightless Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner. Even the 8 year-old kiddo used them and thought they smelled great. She has curly unruly hair too…Worked wonders!
