Happy St. Patricks Day !!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Irish holiday – at least those of you who celebrate.

Mr. McConnell and I have gone away for the weekend to take a mini vacay. We usually take little trips a couple times a year, one of them being Valentines. This year we did not get to go. I did get an awesome typewriter though!

So we decided since we did not go away for Valentines Day and that we always celebrate St. Patrick’s Day that maybe we would take a trip. So here we are.

It isn’t all fun and games. Today we are working on our vampire novel that we’ve been trying to wrap up for quite some time. You can read part of the first chapter on my author website.

The book is now live!

First we are going to visit the GIANT antique store for some inspiration. Later tonight we shall partake in some celebration and tomorrow is the parade. Hopefully we’ll be able to knock out a few thousand words of this book! I am so excited to get some time away from home to work on it because we have so many distractions!

I brought some healthy choices from home to snack on and to save the budget so we weren’t eating out so much. I have a limit on drinks and my new weekly points start today. I am confident I will be able to stay on program this weekend (and the rest of the week!)
