Why yes, there is a healthy night cream! #RadiantwithAVEENO
Even though this blog is about me taking care of my weight and other medial issues, I feel it is also important to take care of my skin (as well as the rest of my body) because let’s face it, I’m not getting any younger. That’s why I was thrilled to be a part of the Aveeno Positively Radiant Intensive Night Cream promotion on Influenster.
I don’t have a lot of experience with Aveeno products. In the winter I used to use their oatmeal lotion until Lubriderm came out with their Advanced Therapy lotion. It was a bigger bottle and a lot less expensive Now both brands have a generic and I have found that the shea butter lotions the hubs gets me for Christmas every year from Bath and Body Works are great for the purse, and Creamy Petroleum Jelly is cheap and works best on my hands.
My only other experience with Aveeno products is a discontinued product they had which was a day time face lotion with ingredients that would slow down the growth of facial hair, Positively Smooth Facial Cream. As a woman who suffers from PCOS, facial hair is a problem. I am willing to try anything once. I can’t say it made a lot of difference; which could be why it’s no longer on the market.
Before the Positively Radiant cream arrived I was using Oil of Olay Classic Age Defying because it is a lightweight cream I can use during the day and the night without worrying about breakouts. I was a little hesitant to try the new Aveeno cream for fear it was going to break out my face. I do have to admit, I am terrible about remembering to wash my face at night when I have make-up on (which isn’t often since I work from home).
I used the cream the first night and could tell their was a nice glow to my skin. The last couple of days I have been using it during the day. No breakouts. While I do like the glow it is providing my thirsty skin, I would prefer to be using a anti-aging product. I have plans to continue use until the jar is gone.
