Have you ever seen a giant roll of sushi? Me either. I find it odd since I simply adoooooooore sushi. Mr. YUM and I have been to the Flint Farmers Market quite a bit these last few years. This summer we didn’t get a chance to go as often as we wanted to, so when we finally had a chance to go, we took it. I wanted to catch some summer greens before they were gone for the season. We made another trip to the Flint Farmers Market. A few weeks ago we weren’t able to make it and we stopped by the one in Grand Blanc. It was more of an arts and crafts fair and I was extremely disappointed. It was outside on a street that had been blocked off. It was just about the length of that block. Not big at all. Ok. Everybody makes a dang beer can chicken, so I decided that I didn’t want to conform to the man’s way of making beer influenced poultry delicacies.

We’ll get a few meals and some great stock from it. [Read more…]
I’m not sure if I’ll make this a regular series, but I would like to. It’s my mission for the summer. However I have my ‘Trash to Treasure Garden‘ to tend to, so we may not need a lot from the Farmer’s Market.
Saturday Mr. Yum and Kiddo Yum 🙂 and myself loaded up the car and decided to head over to Flint Farmer’s Market. It takes us about 20 minutes to get there if we use the expressway. I’ve only been there one other time and that time was pretty amazing. I was like the little kid in the candy shop with all the sights and smells. I was very much the “hey look at that,” “oooh look at this” person. I am pretty sure I drove my husband and friends nuts. It’s been a year since that day. This particular Farmers Market is open year round. Tues, Thur and Sat. Quite a bit is indoors so that is good for those vendors. [Read more…]
