Yummy Onion and Eggs Breakfast: It's clean, lower carb, and low calorie!

131 egg breakfast

This recipe is adapted from a recipe I found on Pinterest. You can find the original recipe here. (pay no mind to the hcg stuff!)

I am trying to keep my calories in check while sticking to good wholesome foods and keeping an eye on my carbs (of all kinds).

This breakfast shows 1/2 of a grapefruit and this was the first time I have not put Splenda on my grapefruit. Pretty proud of myself. It is also a meal where I did not include cheese. I am trying to stay clear of Splenda and cheese for a while.

The coffee is just regular coffee because I am too poor for organic. It includes 2 drops of liquid Stevia and 1 tbsp of unsweetened coconut almond milk.

For the eggs:
3 egg whites (I gave the yolks to the dogs!)
1/2 of a small onion, chopped
4 tbsp fat free chicken broth
salt and pepper to taste
I also added a dash of garlic.

I put the chicken broth in the pan and let it warm up on low heat. Then, I added the onions. I let them cook for a few minutes until the soaked up the broth. In the egg whites I added the garlic and pepper (no salt for me). Then I added the egg whites to the onions and scrambled them up.
