'Shamrock' Shake (and kiddo taking a peak)
‘Shamrock’ Shake (and kiddo taking a peak)

Who says you have to stop at McDonald’s and spend a fortune on Shamrock Shakes for the family, not to mention gurgle down those calories??
Not this girl!
I went to the $1 Tree and found these cute green with shamrock mugs for $1. I bought 3.

Easy ‘Shamrock Shake’ Recipe
Kroger had Edy’s Mint Chocolate Chip Slow Churned on sale. 2/$5 but I only purchased one. Usually its about $3.49-$3.99 for one.
Kroger brand fat free cool whip – $1.10
Jar of cherries – also from Kroger – $2.80
Total:  $6.40 for the food items, $7.40 including the cool mugs.
McDonald’s version? Around here its about $3 for the small Shamrock Shake which contains 3X as many calories and grams of fat.
In a blender I put in a splash of skim milk just to help blend the ice cream. I put in 2 scoops of ice cream and blended. Put in mug, add a few cherries and the whip cream, a straw, and off you go. I also saved some money!
