Greek -ed Out Bananas and Honey

greeked out banana and honeyEvery once in a while I’ll toss some goods in a bowl and call it breakfast.

Looks like I am having one of those times again.

This little recipe is one of my favorites. It’s so good, I’ll often have it as dessert when I am trying to aim for a healthier option. It makes a great treat and often will squash my ice cream cravings. Unless I make homemade ice cream, I have a bad habit that carries over from childhood of craving super creamy ice cream at all times of the year. If I have neither on hand, this works out in a pinch. And oh gosh, I hate to think of what happens to make when I have nothing on hand for those cravings! 😉

You can mix and match so many things here. You can swap the honey for pure maple syrup or even agave. There is also the option of adding berries or removing the bananas. Mix and match to suit your tastes and cravings.

Lets talk about your creations. If you take this recipe and it inspires you to create something of your own (or if you already have  similar recipe) please tell me all about it!

It sounds amazing. I love bananas so much, but it’s weird because for some reason I can’t digest them, so I don’t eat them anymore. The aftermath just isn’t worth it 🙁 I’m thinking I could do this with some blueberries or raspberries, though and it would be just as awesome.

Greek yogurt and honey are made to go together! They work perfectly. I love adding bananas, I need more in me in the morning before I head to the gym than just yogurt.
    thanks!

  5. I love fresh fruit in yogurt. I never would’ve thought to add honey in it. I’m definitely going to try this.

This looks so yummy. I usually eat breakfast at school and so I am always looking for something quick and easy to take with me in the morning. The thing is, quick and easy usually equates to unhealthy. How fantastic that you’ve proved that theory wrong…quick and easy can be healthy too. 🙂

  8. This looks and sounds delicious! My daughter and I have been eating lots of bananas and Greek yogurt lately, so we will definitely be trying this out!
