With the Circus of Whiskers under wraps, it was time for us to visit some fun and funky places close to Detroit where the Drooler hadn’t been before. One stop had to be the University of Michigan and Downtown Ann Arbor, or A2 as we mitten folk call it. Deciding on what to have for lunch was super easy since we all love our sushi. I wanted to pick a place I had never tried before so I headed right for my trusty Yelp app to hit up my fellow Yelp Elite members to see what was on the up and up in the sushi department.
When Your Train Lands in Seattle, WA [photos]
Now that I’ve talked about why I wanted to take a train across the United States (part 1) and a little bit about how that turned out, (part 2) now it’s time to dive in to some sight-seeing!
After almost three days on the train, Sammi and I couldn’t wait to get to the hotel and take a shower; washing away that train. A Quick Trip to Traverse City for Pie {Grand Traverse Pie Co., MI}
My birthday weekend was a lot of fun and I am thankful for that time spent with my Michigan Bestie, but the weekend would not of been complete without pie from my favorite pie place in Michigan; Grand Traverse Pie Co. This is hands down the best place to get strawberry rhubarb crumble pie. The ex would swear they had the best cherry pie in the nation; which makes sense seeing as how Traverse City is the cherry capital. [Read more…]

New York.
For someone like me, New York has never really been at the top of my list of places I’d like to live. For the longest time I really had no desire to even visit NYC or even upstate. While it’s not at the top of my travel destination list, I would have to say that NYC is one of the many places I want to go for a foodie roadtrip. [Read more…]
