This is a first for me. I’ve done a lot of book reviews for authors and publishers over the years, but this is my first coloring book. But, it’s not just any old coloring book; this is a book specifically for adults. I’m sure you’ve all seen the adult coloring craze in full force these last few months; but adult coloring has been around for ages. I’m actually thrilled to see art in mainstream media. Here it is. I know I am long overdue but here is July’s update for the Trash to Treasure Garden. We saw a lot of rain up here in the north and while it was good to have those rain days here and there, it wasn’t so good when it rained for days on end. Last week we saw a really bad rain storm that resulted in golf ball size hail. The rain came down really fast and the wind was whipping through my trees. Branches went flying. I had a little laugh as I made a video for Mr. Yum who was away at camp with kiddo. I felt like I was back in Oklahoma in tornado alley. [Read more…]
I haven’t updated much because for the longest time it seemed like the garden was at a standstill. I did get a large amount of weeds pulled and then I spent a day adding more goodies to the garden. Between husband and I we were able to get a few videos and I tried to snap some photos.
Things are going very well for a couple of amateurs. I mean, we have done gardens in the past, but simple things like radish and tomatoes. Once year we did containers and had tomatoes and cucumbers. I think there were some peppers in there too. Point is, this is our biggest garden and we have quite a few goodies that we don’t have much experience growing, if any at all (hello, potatoes!) Another garden update!
I literally spent ALL day outside in the garden yesterday. I realized we had so much wasted space and we purchased some more seeds over the weekend. I thought I was just going to be out for a few hours planting those seeds, but instead I was out there for about 7.

We’re well on our way into June!
How did that happen????
If you follow me on Facebook or on Instagram then you know I’ve been posting photos from the garden as I take them. The latest set is already a bit too old as my garden has been growing by leaps and bounds in some areas! It’s been so crazy to see how well things are starting to bloom! So, I wanted to get this quick little update done so that I can get you some much more current photos. I’ll do those in another post and hopefully I can pick a day of the week to do garden updates.
