Sometimes you have to let things go. But, sometimes you just have to stop, pause, and realize the good that came from the event.
When I originally sat down to do the outline of this post it was going to go in a much different direction. I was getting itchy for another road trip right after my birthday getaway and I couldn’t wait for the adventure that was waiting for me. I was going to go to a place I had never been before (Indiana) to hang out with a girl I had known for NINE years and had never been able to meet up with despite many honest attempts over the years.
But nothing, and I do mean nothing, went as planned. [Read More…]
This has been one crazy summer. Not only do I feel like it just flew right by me, I also feel it was probably one of my best summers in quite some time. I saw the light, did quite a bit of traveling, got out of my comfort zone and made a lot of new friends and reconnected with the old.
When I got the chance to visit Sea Life Michigan, I was super excited and knew I just had to take my boy bestie. Both of us have gone through so many changes this year so it’s nice when we can just hang out and have some smiles and laughs. [Read More…]

It’s no big secret that I love mushrooms; I practically put them in everything I eat. I love my mother’s full-fat cream cheese and cheddar cheese glory full of countless calories even more. But, I just can’t keep eating those and expect to see the numbers change on the scale. I did really well for a while and then I started to get comfortable.

When Matt and I were still living together, one of his/my favorite things to do was take the leftovers and create some sort of fried rice dinner. He’s made the majority of the ethnic cuisines shared here on Nevermore Lane. This one is no exception. It’s no big secret that he and I parted ways recently causing a shift in my life and changes in my living situation. As a result, my blog schedule fell to the wayside. Now that the YUMeating website has been merged and forwarded, I getting back on track with my blog schedule. [Read More…]
It’s that time of year. Here in Michigan we say goodbye to the last little bits of Fall because we know at any minute Winter is going to come sweeping in. The warmer Fall temps are starting to get cooler and cooler. That means we have to turn the heat on here, even if for a little bit to get the chill out. [Read More…]
I am not much of a perfume person these days. I have had my favorites in the past but I find that as a age a lot of them aggravate my senses or my skin. I tend to gravitate towards body sprays that I know won’t do that. When The Fragrance Outlet gave me an awesome opportunity to test the MYPURE line by Karen Low I hopped on that opportunity with the hopes of finding a new scent. [Read More…]
I am a big fan of subscription boxes. Problem is, I with the few that I had there were always things I did not use and I would end up with the ‘stuff and things’ clutter and that is something I am trying to stay clear of these days. One of the subscription boxes I kept was the WalMart beauty box. WalMart sends out their subscription beauty boxes every quarter per the seasons. [Read More…]
